Ian grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and recently moved back to Minnesota to acquire and operate a single, enduring small business. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, he spent a decade as a Marine Infantry Officer with operational deployments to the South Pacific and Afghanistan. More recently, he led operations for technology companies in the San Francisco Bay Area.
